D3 Men: Colby’s upset of Tufts sets tone for shock-filled postseason

Colby goalie Matt Johnson (Medford, Mass.) dove to his right, extended fully and batted away the left-footed penalty kick of Tufts' midfielder Travis Van Brewer (Wilbraham, Mass.).

Two shooters later, he dove again to his right, along the ground, and got a hand on Gavin Tasker’s (Concord, Mass.) low strike.

The shootout was over. The celebration was on. Improbably, Colby was moving on during a NESCAC quarterfinal weekend that was as improbable as could be.
