Christian Schneider lands with NISA’s Philadelphia Fury

Early into his Springfield career, Christian Schneider (Shelton, Conn.) knew he wanted to play professionally once his Division 3 days wrapped up. He even mapped out his classes to make that aspiration possible.

Two All-NEWMAC First Team selections and 71 points (21 goals, 29 assists) later, the midfielder has realized his goal, signing with the Philadelphia Fury of the upstart National Independent Soccer Association, otherwise known as NISA.

The Fury are set to play their first game Aug. 31 at Detroit City FC, with many early questions around the league. For one, Schneider embraces the unknown and charting a new path.
