Chris Arling is back in a groove for UNH

Since the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer program saw then-graduate student Robin Schmidt earn Second Team All-American honors in 2017, head coach Marc Hubbard has been searching for a striker who could offer what the German did.

The No. 22-ranked Wildcats (2-0) might have a solution, at least partially, via fifth-year senior Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.). Through UNH’s first two matches, wins over Boston University and Providence College, the New England Revolution Academy product has two game-winners.

Arling appreciates the Schmidt references, but also thinks the America East program’s offense could take on a different complexion in 2019.
