The New England Revolution are on the verge of advancing to MLS Cup for the sixth time in club history, but head coach/sporting director Bruce Arena said Friday that they’re not looking that far ahead.
New England must first engineer a third straight MLS Cup Playoffs upset, this time at Columbus Crew SC on Sunday (3 pm ET | ABC) in the Eastern Conference Final.
The Revolution are amid their first three-game winning streak of the season, having beaten the Montreal Impact 2-1 in the Play-In Round. Then came a resounding 2-0 victory over the Supporters’ Shield-winning Philadelphia Union, as followed by a 3-1 win at Orlando City SC last weekend.
