As the 2020-21 Boys ECNL season continues to unfold, it was announced earlier this week that the growing league will debut its National Playoffs and National Finals later this summer.
The National Playoffs are being held July 3-9 in Greensboro, North Carolina and the National Finals are being held July 22-26 in St. Louis, Missouri. Both events are purposefully timed after the Division I recruiting dead period lifts to maximize exposure for players.
As of now, the National Playoffs will involve 64 teams at the U-15, U-16 and U-17 age groups in a two-stage setup. Conversely, 16 total teams qualify for single-stage setups at the U-13 and U-18/19 age groups. In an outlier, the U-14 age group will produce 32 postseason teams for a two-stage setup.
