At the 2018 Generation adidas Cup – a youth tournament that attracts top U-17 teams from throughout the world, as well as all MLS teams at that age group – the New England Revolution struggled mightily.
As part of the Premier Division – the second tier, below the Champions Division – the Revs finished 0-3 and with a negative-five goal differential. That latter stat is good for worst among MLS sides in the Premier Division, tied with the Chicago Fire. The Revs’ bracket included MLS sides Seattle Sounders and Columbus Crew SC, as well as Japanese team Matsumoto Yamaga.
