The financial pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic on higher education have the 2020 Pine Manor men’s soccer season “up in the air,” after news surfaced Wednesday that Boston College officially takes over the former’s assets – including its campus in Brookline's Chestnut Hill neighborhood – in two years’ time.
The schools are entering into an “educational partnership,” whereby Pine Manor’s current 300 students could receive their Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts over the next two years. Then, the Pine Manor Institute for Student Success would be established to help serve first-generation, low-income students, which has long been Pine Manor’s primary demographic.
