Boston Bolts goalkeeper Marzuq Puckerin eyes professional future

Perhaps it was destined for Marzuq Puckerin to stand out in this manner given his lineage.

His father, Michael, ran track in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles for Trinidad and Tobago. His uncle, Shaka Hislop, is now a soccer pundit for ESPN FC after compiling 10 seasons in England’s Premier League and two dozen-plus caps for Trinidad as a goalkeeper. His cousin, Prince Loney-Bailey (Cambridge, Mass.), is committed to James Madison University and was a standout in the New England Revolution Academy.

The 15-year-old from Cambridge, Mass., a ’keeper himself, was cut from this cloth.
