How Boston Bolts’ striker Christian Pulselli committed to Michigan

The Development Academy scoring leaderboards typically are sprinkled with players from MLS clubs or traditional hotbeds in New York, California and Texas. Seldom, if at any point, do the nation’s top goalscorers call New England home.

Christian Pulselli (Pembroke, Mass.) of the Boston Bolts has changed that narrative in 2017-18, with 18 goals in 16 games through mid-April, good for eighth-best nationally in the U-17 age group. Those standout performances earned Pulselli a commitment to the University of Michigan after fielding interest from top ACC, Big East and Ivy League programs in the wake of the Winter Showcase last December.
