There were rumblings all week across New England college soccer that a Big East announcement of some kind was coming.
Naturally, the murmurs came with fear after the Ivy League and Patriot League both cancelled their 2020 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those announcements, affecting six programs across the region, occurred within a five-day span.
Worries were assuaged, to a certain degree, on Thursday when the Division I conference announced that its 2020 season would be further adjusted.
