The days of German Giammattei dominating for Amherst’s offense, Calvin Aroh (Glastonbury, Conn.) bossing in Tufts’ midfield and Nilton de Andrade spearheading UMass Boston’s attack are over.
That creates space for new stars to define the Division 3 men’s soccer season in New England, and that’s exactly what the below 11 standouts are hoping awaits when the 2022 slate gets underway around Labor Day weekend.
Now, narrowing this down into a Best XI format was no easy task -- and there’s a handful of players who are certainly deserving of being in this preseason conversation. As usual, the region’s D3 landscape is deep and full of quality.
