One of the most intriguing early-season games in the region takes place Thursday, when the women of Boston College bring their 5-1 record across the Charles River to battle Harvard (3-0).
Both talented teams are leaning on first-years in their lineup, particularly Harvard, which essentially is breaking in two highly-touted freshman classes with the Ivy League cancelling last season.
But it’s not just in Chestnut Hill and Cambridge where freshman players have shined. It’s all over the region.
