New England’s Boys ECNL footprint will expand come the 2021-22 season, with the youth league announcing Monday that Bayside FC will join the Northeast Conference.

Based out of East Providence, R.I., Bayside is approaching its 25th anniversary (founded in 1997) and has a lengthy track record of developing top-end players from the Ocean State.

Connecting with New England Soccer Journal to discuss the move, director of coaching Chris Clarke said the growing platform will help their players get recognized. Each season, the Boys ECNL has several national recruiting events and summertime national playoffs/finals that attract coaches from top collegiate programs.
