The news that many sensed was coming soon, came on Thursday.

New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner is reportedly headed to the English Premier League, according to numerous reports, including first from ESPN’s Taylor Twellman, a former Revs star who is certainly a credible source when it comes to information like this.

According to ESPN, Premier League side Arsenal has agreed to terms with the Revolution on the transfer of Turner. The ESPN report stated that the fee for Turner's transfer is $6 million up front and could be as much as $10 million with add-ons. The Revs also would reportedly get 10% sell-on percentage if Turner moves on from Arsenal.

Turner would join Arsenal this summer, which allows him to stay with the Revs for the start of the 2022 MLS season and for the CONCACAF Champions League, which kicks off next month.
