Analysis: How Hopkins School became a surprising success this fall

It’s not easy being a day school and competing in the NEPSAC Class A against the titans of New England soccer.

But that’s the battle facing the Hopkins School boys team every year.

Realistically, Hopkins would be better suited as a Class B team, where it would likely be a factor each November in the New England playoffs. In fact, the last time the program played in the New England playoffs, it was as a Class B squad in 2006.

Still, the Hilltoppers aren’t letting any of that prevent them from putting together their strongest season in quite some time this fall.
