Amos Shapiro-Thompson returns home to play for Boston College

Somewhat quietly, a high-profile name has surfaced as a freshman on Boston College's roster for the 2019 season: Amos Shapiro-Thompson (Worthington, Mass.).

Shapiro-Thompson, a 19-year-old midfielder, was recently overseas with Polish club Legia Warsaw, though his deal was set to expire in early summer. That's when the BC option – a scholarship that's locked in, even should he turn professionally early – arose.

It was too good of a deal to turn down.
