Tuesday brought some big news for Bayside FC.
The Rhode Island-based club announced that it has been granted the full MLS NEXT pathway, beginning in the 2023-24 season. That means that Bayside will be competing in MLS NEXT at the U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 age groups.
Currently, Bayside competes in MLS NEXT in U-13, U-14, U-16 and U-19. So, they will be adding two age groups.
"This is the culmination of a strong foundation and culture that has existed at Bayside FC for many years, and our ability to continue to develop our players to compete at the highest level," said Bayside FC MLS NEXT Academy Director Kevin Bacher.
