For the past 12 years, Charlie Bour has coached at the college and prep levels, getting an inside and in-depth look at what it takes for players to compete at those levels and the necessary elements to find success.
Bour has spent the last five years as the head coach at the Berkshire School, where he led the program to an undefeated campaign and a NEPSAC Class A championship in 2018. Prior to that, he spent six strong years as the head coach at Loomis Chaffee.
Now, the 39-year-old Bour has decided to step away from his post at Berkshire and try a new venture, one in which he can use his extensive knowledge to help players and families navigate the recruitment process, whether it be for the college or prep level.
Bour has started a company called CAB Sports that includes a consulting branch called "Soccer Journey." Its mission is to help soccer players and their families navigate the nuances and complexities of the college and/or prep school recruitment process. Bour will look to assist them in making their goals clear and attainable. The idea is to find the right match for academic, athletic, social and philosophical needs, and then discovering the right pathway.
