DURHAM, N.H. -- Just in case the No. 9 national ranking didn’t adequately emphasize the potency of the University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team, the Wildcats delivered a mighty statement on Tuesday night.
New Hampshire overwhelmed previously-unbeaten Quinnipiac with a dominant 5-0 victory at Wildcat Stadium. Senior forward Tola Showunmi tallied two goals, while graduate student Linus Fallberg, sophomore Eli Goldman and graduate student Johann von Knebel also netted goals. Jassem Koleilat (71 minutes) and Clay Courtmanche (West Hartford, Conn.) combined for the shutout in net, as UNH put 11 shots on target to QU’s two.
