Gabriel Meireles makes no two bones about it: He wants to be a professional soccer player.
While that’s still a distant dream for the attacking midfielder, he’s shown well for the Boston Bolts’ U-19 team this fall. Playing for head coach Dan Colwell, Meireles has racked up six goals and 10 assists in a free role.
He's attracting Division 1 college soccer interest, both in and out of region. With his attacking flair and ability to drive the game forward, it's easy to see why.
We caught up with Meireles to learn more about his Brazilian roots and how soccer has shaped his path in life.
